2008 Garden Party, Presented By Don R. Fruchey, Inc., To Take Place Friday, September 26, 2008.
The Children’s Garden at IPFW will transform into a colorful, casual carnival atmosphere for SCAN’s annual Garden Party. The theme this year is "Carnivale!" Organizers expect 400 people will enjoy carnival-type games, fun contests, exciting auctions, entertainment by Knotwork, and a gourmet hors d’ouevres buffet from Catablu. Around 8pm Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards and Superior Court Judge Fran Gull will discuss how SCAN helps transform the lives of families in northeast Indiana.
The Garden Party is one of SCAN's largest fundraisers. Attendance is free, but requires a reservation. At the conclusion of the evening's program, everyone in attendance will be asked to make a donation to SCAN from their hearts. (The suggested amount is $100 per person.) Each donation of $100 or more per person, or $200 or more per couple, will be matched by friends of SCAN.
The agency hopes to raise more than $105,000 during the evening to fund its programs and services. A number of businesses and individuals have sponsored this event to ensure its success. These include:

All proceeds from these events provide desperately needed funds for SCAN's programs that protect children and prepare parents.
TABLE HOSTS NEEDED If you would like to host a table at SCAN's Gala in the Garden, please contact us. As a table host you are asked to invite 8-10 guests to the event. During the program and donation appeal, you will be given a pledge card and envelope for each of your guests. You will hand these items out after the appeal, collect and return the envelopes to a SCAN representative before the end of the evening.
This is a great way to get together with a group of friends and benefit a great cause at the same time.
