Since 1974, SCAN, Inc. (Stop Child Abuse & Neglect) has worked to prevent child abuse and neglect. Our Prevention Through Education program has taught nearly 300,000 children and adults how to protect themselves from childhood violence.
Currently, this program serves 23 counties in northern Indiana. SCAN's Prevention Through Education workshops are free of charge to organizations including: * churches * preschools * day care centers * elementary, middle and high schools, * private and public colleges * government agencies * social service providers
Our workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of your audience, being respectful of individual situations, while sharing this life-saving information. All programs are taugt at your site, with little or no support needed. These age-appropriate presentations are group as follows: Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Adults/Parents, and Professionals/Staff.
